Antique Italian painting from the second half of the 17th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a splendid bucolic landscape with figures and grazing animals, of remarkable pictorial quality. At the centre of the composition we find cows, sheep and goats gathered around a body of water, next to them the shepherd is addressing a washerwoman busy cleaning the clothes. The Arcadian landscape, the presence of ruins and the chiaroscuro technique used hark back to the landscape painting of the Roman school of the late 17th century. 19th century frame in carved and gilded wood, beautifully decorated, with some signs of aging. Painting already restored with relining, replacement of the frame and repainting in small spots. Overall in good condition.
