It is a translation of the work of Gustav Graf von Schlabrendorf, a German writer and philosopher who lived in the front line of the French Revolution. Initially he was a great enthusiast of the Revolution, but little by little he disagreed with those at the helm, he was even imprisoned during the time of terror and sentenced to the guillotine. He managed to get rid of this and later wrote several books on Napoleon, all quite critical, and they were banned in France. Se trata de una traducción de la obra de Gustav Graf von Schlabrendorf, escritor y filósofo alemán que vivió en primera línea la Revolución francesa. Inicialmente fue un gran entusiasta de la Revolución, pero poco a poco fue discrepando con quienes llevaban el timón, incluso fue encarcelado durante la época del terror y condenado a la guillotina. Consiguió librarse de esta y mas tarde escribió varios libros sobre Napoleón, todos bastante críticos, y fueron prohibidos en Francia.
