Description: This is one of his famous "Non-Stop Dancing" style albums but with a maritime theme. It features orchestral and choral arrangements of famous sea shanties and folk songs (like "La Paloma" and "My Bonnie") designed for parties. The cover features James Last wearing a captain's hat.

2. Trumpet à gogo Vol. 2

Release Year: 1967

Style: Easy Listening / Pop Instrumental

Description: Part of his popular "à gogo" series. This album focuses on brass-heavy arrangements, specifically the trumpet. It includes covers of popular hits of the time like "Guantanamera" and "La Mer."

3. Trumpet à gogo 3

Release Year: 1969

Style: Easy Listening / Pop Instrumental

Description: The sequel to the album above. It features upbeat, brassy versions of songs like "Secret Love" and "Around the World."

4. Bluebird

Release Year: 1982

Style: Instrumental Ballads / Mood Music

Description: This album is distinct from the party records above. It is more atmospheric and features the Romanian pan flute player Horea Crishan. It includes the track "The Lonely Shepherd" (or similar style tracks), which became very famous. The cover art features a painted bird rather than a photo of James Last.

5. Clasicos Al Dia Vol. 2 (Classics Up To Date Vol. 2)

Release Year: 1969

Style: Classical Crossover

Description: This appears to be a Spanish pressing of the album (indicated by the Spanish title on the red cover). On this record, James Last rearranges famous classical pieces (by Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert) into easy-listening pop structures with a gentle beat.
