Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin | Japanese Deluxe Box Set

• Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin | Japanese Deluxe Box Set
• 3 Vinyl LPs + 2 CDs | Atlantic WPZR-30540/5 | Rock Age Series | 18 June 2014

The debut that changed rock history—expanded into an impressive collector’s edition.

Released for the Japanese market in June 2014, this box presents Led Zeppelin’s groundbreaking debut alongside additional live material across three vinyl LPs and two CDs. Its Japanese catalogue identity and Rock Age series association add particular appeal for collectors of the band’s deluxe editions.

Originally released in 1969, Led Zeppelin introduced a remarkable combination of blues intensity, explosive rock and acoustic subtlety. Jimmy Page’s inventive guitar arrangements, Robert Plant’s commanding vocals, John Paul Jones’s versatile musicianship and John Bonham’s unmistakable drumming established a sound of extraordinary depth and power.

“Good Times Bad Times” opens with confidence and rhythmic precision, while “Communication Breakdown” delivers a concentrated burst of driving guitar energy. “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” moves between delicate acoustic passages and dramatic full-band crescendos, revealing the group’s mastery of light and shade.

“Dazed and Confused” explores a darker, more adventurous atmosphere, and “You Shook Me” and “I Can’t Quit You Baby” showcase the band’s deeply expressive approach to the blues. The expansive “How Many More Times” brings the album to a powerful conclusion through hypnotic riffs and shifting musical episodes.

The accompanying live material adds another dimension, capturing the youthful force and improvisational spirit behind the studio recordings. Together, these performances offer a compelling portrait of a band already pushing beyond conventional boundaries.

A substantial Japanese collector’s edition celebrating the beginning of Led Zeppelin’s extraordinary journey—three LPs, two CDs and essential early performances.
