Released in 1967 on Verve Records Beach Samba finds Astrud Gilberto in a light, breezy mood, blending Bossa Nova, Pop and lounge textures. Vocals float over lush arrangements by Eumir Deodato and Don Sebesky, creating a relaxed, dreamlike feel. More pop-leaning than the earlier work, it relies on gentle swing, subtle orchestration and spacious production. It never tries to do too much, and that restraint is its charm.

Limited Edition on Ecomix Vinyl.
